Sean Kingston to Headline Fall Fest

July 21, 2009 by Ashley Carufel

Sean Kingston will be the headline artist at Fall Fest 2009, as announced by Program Board on Tuesday.

Kingston is most widely known for his hit song “Beautiful Girls” from 2007 when he emerged on the musical scene with his reggae-rap fusion style.  His other more well known songs include: “Take You There” and “Me Love.” The artist is 19 years-old from Jamaica, where he has lived since he was 6 years-old. Kingston was born in Miami.

Program Board took a different approach this year with marketing by announcing this year’s artist through their Facebook and Twitter pages before the typical listserv and press emails.

Fall Fest 2009 will have a “rodeo” theme according to the press release. A mechanical bull, jousting, and an obstacle course will all be featured. The usual plethora of free t-shirts, food, and giveaways will also be featured. Fall Fest is scheduled for Saturday, September 5 at 3 p.m. on University Yard.
