The infamously cute and creative Dylan’s Candy Bar has introduced a new line of sweets, for your body.

Dylan’s Candy Bar is a giant candy store originally opened in New York City with a shocking variety of sweets, in every form imaginable. Dylan Lauren, the store’s founder, is the daughter of famous clothing designer Ralph Lauren.

The delicious new Re-Treat line includes products like a Candy Butter Cream, Soda Pop Shower Gel, Body Smoothie Lotion, Ice Cream Sugar Scrub and Candy Lip Savers. These products range in flavors such as Strawberry licorice, Coconut Bonbon, Chocolate Cupcake, and Birthday Cake Batter, ensuring that your skin feels and smells delicious.

Sold at Sephora nationwide, Re-Treat products cannot be missed due to the store’s creative presentation, including a wallpaper background and floors adorned with lollipops, licorice swirls and gumdrops, reflecting those at the real Dylan’s Candy Bar.

The items are no less eye-catching, with each wrapped in packaging corresponding to their names. For example, body scrubs come in containers that resemble ice cream pints and shower gel is contained in soda pop bottles.

“They are so fresh and not too sweet. We got them in three days ago and they have been very popular!” said Seble Degene, a Sephora saleswoman. “People love these products, especially with the holidays coming up. The Candy Butter Cream and Lip Savors are the favorites.”

“I would definitely buy any of these products. They smell delicious and look like so much fun!” said Rebecca Merksamer ’10.

For some students, however, the luscious smells are a little too rich. “I love the Birthday Cake Batter, but I don’t know if I could smell like that all the time,” said Samantha Shelly ’10. “But they would make the perfect gift, especially for ‘Secret Santa’ with friends or as a stocking stuffer.”

This new line has made Dylan’s Candy Bar a real brand name, no longer associated simply with candy. From apparel to jewelry to now bath and beauty, Dylan’s may now be able to call itself a household label. Faces light up with the mere mentioning of the name.

“I love Dylan’s! My mom just sent me a package from them the other day and I was so happy. Their stuff is really cute and fun, and of course, delicious,” said Jamie Goldstein ’12.
